Course Details
Conditions of Participation in the Bronze Lifeguard Certificate Training and Detailed Information
* Bronze Lifeguard Certificate Training is the beginning level of Lifeguard Training.
* Anyone who wants to be a lifeguard at sea or to be an instructor must take this training.
* Bronze Lifeguard Training is held for at least 3 days, for a total of 21 hours.
* In order to participate in this training;
* Be at least 18 years old
* Good swimming skills
* To be at least primary/primary school graduate
* Being healthy and filling the health notification form that will be given at the beginning of the course
* It is necessary to be successful in the pool skills that will be done at the beginning of the course.
Bronze Lifeguard Training Contents
The trainings are divided into two as classroom and water works.
In Classroom Studies;
* Information about Turkish Underwater Sports Federation (TSSF) and International Life Saving Federation (ILS)
* Lifeguard Station and Equipment
* Lifeguard Flags
* Anatomy, Bleeding, Wound Dressings
* First aid
* Victim Depositing and Transport Techniques
In Water Studies;
* Swimming Techniques
* Casualty Transport, Water Extraction Techniques and Practices
* Struggling Techniques and Practices
* Trainings are provided on Equipment Usage.
Where Can We Work With Bronze Lifeguard Certificate?
Trainees who are successful at the end of the training receive a Bronze Lifeguard Certificate; It can work in hotel pools, sports facility pools, aqua parks and similar pools.
Validity Period of Bronze Lifeguard Certificate
The validity period of the Bronze Lifeguard Certificate is 2 years. Lifeguards whose certificates have expired can renew their certificates by participating in compliance training within 6 months from the expiry date of the certificate. The lifeguard participating in the adaptation training is subjected to a written pre-exam by an authorized lifeguard training institution and organization. The missing information determined at the end of the exam is given by the trainer who is the authority of the training center. Afterwards, a second exam is administered and the trainee who passes the exam is deemed to have received integration training. The duration of the compliance training is determined by the trainer providing the training.
Lifeguards who do not renew their certificate within 6 months from the expiry date of the certificate must attend the Bronze Lifeguard Training again in order to be able to use their certificates again.
Legal Requirements for Having a Bronze Lifeboat
Having lifeguards in the pools;
* Turkish Underwater Sports Federation "Lifesaving Instruction",
* Ministry of Health "Regulation on the Health Principles and Conditions to which Swimming Pools are Subject", article 5, paragraph a,
* Ministry of Culture and Tourism "Regulation on Certification and Qualifications of Tourism Facilities" is required by paragraph h of Article 31.
